From 2024, the Federal Performing Arts Jury is responsible for recommending award winners in this field to the FOC.
After the FOC was advised by the existing dance and theatre juries for the first three editions of the Swiss Performing Arts Awards, the final phase of the merger was completed this year. The new Federal Performing Arts Jury is made up of nine people: three were previously members of the Federal Dance Jury, three sat on the Federal Theatre Jury, and three new members have joined. Simone Toendury (President): “This completes the phase of merging the disciplines into the Swiss Performing Arts Awards, which has resulted in an intermingling of working methods, artistic approaches and views from all areas as well as technology, academia, activism and art. This blurring of lines encourages openness towards topics and people, realities and fortunes in a Switzerland that has long since become pluralistic.”
