Swiss Dance Awards return to the Kunsthaus Zofingen from 5 November to 18 December 2016

Following last year’s successful collaboration, promotion of the Swiss Dance Awards at the Kunsthaus Zofingen continues as part of the exhibition “Bodenlos II”, which runs from 5 November to 18 December 2016. The theme is dance, art and generations, centring around a Swiss Dance Collection oral history project on dance heritage in Switzerland. All the videos of the 2013 & 2015 winners of the Swiss Dance Awards will also be on display.

The focus of this year's topic - generations - is on convergences and encounters in the timelessness of dance. The project "Tanzspuren. Eine Oral History der Schweizer Tanzgeschichte", which was selected for the Swiss Dance Awards in 2012, contains portraits of ten dance practitioners working in Switzerland. These venerable choreographers, dancers and educators lived through the key period of dance history from the 1960s to the 1980s and themselves exerted a major influence on the Swiss dance scene. They talk about their networks, the training and performance opportunities open to them, and their lives in the world of dance. For more information, visit:
