Impressions of the award ceremony on 24 May at the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura
As in previous years, this year’s award ceremony took place at the opening of the Swiss Theatre Encounter in the presence of Federal Councillor Alain Berset. It saw federal awards presented in Italian-speaking Switzerland for the first time. If you missed the event, a short film of the award ceremony can be found at www.theatreawards.ch.

The evening was moderated by TV presenter Giada Marsadri from Ticino. She was assisted by the clown and jury member Gardi Hutter, who supplied entertaining intermezzi in her role as Hanna and also put herself forward for a "theatre cleaning award". Meanwhile this year's winners of the Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis, the cabaret duo schön&gut, served up their own brand of finely tuned cabaret.
