“Mimos 2016 Theater HORA” published

Following on from the 2014 issue on Omar Porras and the 2015 issue on Rimini Protokoll, the MIMOS Swiss theatre yearbook 2016 is devoted to Theater HORA, last year’s winner of the Swiss Grand Award for Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring.

On behalf of the Federal Office of Culture (FOC), the Swiss Society for the Dramatic Arts (SGTK) has once again produced a publication in four languages that was presented at the Rote Fabrik in Zurich on 13 January. Theater HORA, which was founded in Zurich in 1993 as a culture workshop for people with learning difficulties, is now wowing theatre audiences worldwide in the guise of a "free republic". Edited by Anne Fournier, Paola Gilardi, Andreas Härter and Beate Hochholdinger-Reiterer, the book examines the broad scope of this unique project's artistic activity and the latest developments in its work. It can be ordered from the publishers, Peter Lang, and will also be available at the Theatre Encounter in Lugano.
