Swiss Dance Festival 5 to 7 May – with Gilles Jobin and the Swiss Dance Awards
The 12th Swiss Dance Festival will see the winners of the Swiss Dance Awards presented for the third time. Gilles Jobin, winner of the Grand Award for Dance 2015, will be represented in 10 cities with his new 3D film “Womb”.
For an entire weekend in May, dance events will be taking place in 29 cities and communes as the 12th Swiss Dance Festival gets under way. Theatres, dance schools and cultural centres will be throwing open their doors. The new 3D film "Womb" by Gilles Jobin, winner of the Grand Award for Dance 2015, will be screened in 10 cinemas. There will also be a chance to experience two Swiss Dance Collection "Dance as Cultural Heritage" projects: "Tanzspuren. Eine Oral History der Schweizer Tanzgeschichte", and the publication "La danse contemporaine en Suisse" by Anne Davier and Annie Suquet. Other award winners taking part include Kilian Haselbeck and Meret Schlegel's Cie zeitSprung, Da Motus! and Ioannis Mandafounis. The full programme can be found at:
