The “Studies from the dance works of Sigurd Leeder” that were recorded with former pupils of Leeder will be presented in Basel and St. Gallen. In Yverdon “A la recherche des pas trouvés”, a film on the teaching of Noemi Lapzeson, winner of the Grand Award for Dance 2017, will be presented in combination with a course by Marcela San Pedro. The same film material on the work of the choreographer and educator, who died in January 2018, will also be shown in Winterthur. “Une histoire orale de la danse en Suisse”, a film by the Swiss Archive of the Performing Arts (SAPA), is being screened at the castle in Yverdon, while “Chorégraphes en travail”, an exhibition on contemporary dance in Switzerland created by Anne Davier with photographs by Steeve Iuncker, can be seen at the Théâtre Benno Besson. Finally in Ticino there’s a foretaste of the “kulturerbe, tanz!” festival, which will see amateur dance groups bringing selected works from the repertoire of Swiss dance to the stage in mid-June 2019 at the Südpol in Lucerne, as the Vincenzo Vela Museum presents a sample from “Break’in Hearts reloaded” by the Basel-based MIR Compagnie with the P.A. Dance Academy from Lugano.
