Some of the winners of the Swiss Dance Awards 2019 and Swiss Theatre Awards 2020 will be present at the Tanzfest dance festival, the Swiss Theatre Encounter and the Artists’ Fair this spring. Information about the formats will be published on the events’ websites.
The Tanzfest national dance festival and the Swiss Theatre Encounter (in the canton of Fribourg) take place from 5 to 9 May 2021. Tanzfest will be presenting a selection of winners of the Swiss Dance Awards 2019 under the title “Swiss Dance Awards on Tour”; they include a digital “Talk Forward” on the current challenging situation for the dance community – live from the Tanzhaus Zürich and moderated by Martin Schick, with Marie-Caroline Hominal, Edouard Hue, Marco Cantalupo (Cie Linga), Marion Zurbach (Cie Unplush) and others. The Swiss Artists’ Fair has been postponed from April to 16–18 June, when a digital version will take place with participants including Les Diptik, winners of the Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis 2020; Kathrin Bosshard, winner of a 2020 Theatre Award; and Simon Chen, who was nominated for the Kleinkunstpreis 2020.
