The Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis was integrated into the Swiss Theatre Awards in 2015 and is now funded by the Federal Office of Culture. A selection committee from the KTV ATP (which merged with ACT to form the Swiss theatre professionals’ association t. in July 2018) chooses three nominees who each receive CHF 5,000. From these, the Federal Theatre Jury then selects the main winner, who receives CHF 40,000. The nominees are announced by t. in January, and the winner by the Federal Office of Culture ahead of the artists’ fair.
