The Swiss Theatre Awards presentation ceremony will take place on Thursday 24 May at the Schauspielhaus Zürich as part of the Swiss Theatre Encounter. Since this year’s recipients of the Swiss Grand Award for Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring have also been announced in advance, the event will be a celebration for all the winners. The evening has been conceived and directed by Roman Weishaupt, director and head of the Junges Theater Graubünden which received a Theatre Award in 2016. Musical spectacle for the evening will be provided by Les Petits Chanteurs à la Gueule de Bois, winners of the Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis. There will also be short film portraits of the award winners and tributes from the jury members. The evening is open to the public and is free of charge. Tickets can be reserved via the Schauspielhaus.
