This year the Federal Theatre Jury selected winners who work in various fields of the performing arts, crossing the boundaries of disciplines and relevant theatrical professions. More than almost any other young theatre practitioner, Thom Luz has developed a distinct theatrical language in which he is director, set designer and musician combined. François Gremaud and his 2b company present musical and improvised narratives in various formations that take a subtle and witty look at contemporary events. Dominic Huber creates immersive set designs and works as a theatre maker in independent formations as well as established theatres. Bettina Stucky captivates audiences at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg with her striking performance style, which has also been seen in films. Vania Luraschi has spent her entire career working for young audiences and the independent theatre scene in Ticino.
