Tanzfest 2021 with winners of the 2019 Dance Awards

In common with all cultural events, the 2020 Tanzfest dance festival has been cancelled. The “Swiss Dance Awards on Tour” promotion will therefore focus on the 2021 edition. Ad hoc alternative online program: #DisDance with, among others, a Flashmob by Edouard Hue.

The Tanzfest dance festival, which is staged at around 30 locations in Switzerland, has presented a selection of the Swiss Dance Awards winners since 2015. This year’s event, which was scheduled for 13–17 May, would also have included appearances by some of the 2019 laureates. Since Tanzfest 2020 has had to be cancelled due to the corona crisis, “Swiss Dance Awards on Tour”, which is also planned for 2021, will be more extensive next year. It will feature, among others, short pieces by the award-winning dancers Marie Caroline Hominal, with “Sugar Dance Trio”, and Edouard Hue, with “Shiver”, a solo excerpt from which he performed at the 2019 award ceremony. Cie Linga, meanwhile, turns its attention to a somewhat unusual object in “Triskelion”, namely the milking stool. The next edition of Tanzfest takes place from 6 to 9 May 2021.
