The Swiss Performing Arts Awards will be presented on 28 October at the new Théâtre du Jura in Delémont. The event will also be live-streamed on the websites schweizerkulturpreise.ch/remiseprixscene, arttv.ch and spectyou.com gestreamt.
The idea behind the new Swiss Performing Arts Awards umbrella is to bring the disciplines of dance, theatre, the various forms that make up “Kleinkunst”, and other facets of the performing arts such as performance, contemporary circus, puppet theatre and street arts closer together, and thus enhance the visibility of the full spectrum of the performing arts. The first venue will be the newly built Théâtre du Jura in Delémont, which officially opens on 8 October. The event will feature film portraits and encomia from the jury members honouring all the award winners. The evening will be live-streamed and subsequently made available as video on demand as part of a collaboration with arttv.ch Swiss cultural television online, and spectyou.com, the digital platform for theatre, dance and performance. Detailed information on the Performing Arts can be found at Performing Arts and on all the 2021 award winners at Swiss Performing Arts Awards 2021.
