As in the two previous years, this year’s presentation ceremony took place at the opening of the Swiss Theatre Encounter in the presence of Federal Councillor Alain Berset. If you missed the event, impressions of the ceremony can be found at www.theaterpreise.ch
The video portraits that were shown can be viewed on the Swiss Theatre Awards website, where you can also read the encomia. The evening was hosted by two previous award winners, Brigitte Rosset and Fabienne Hadorn, who received Swiss Theatre Awards for Outstanding Female Actor in 2015 and 2014 respectively. Julia Häusermann and Remo Zarantonello from Theater HORA presented the ten-minute live performance "Das ist Tanz", while Compagnia Baccalà, this year's winners of the "Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis", presented excerpts from their current programme. The evening ended with partying and dancing to the rhythms of Pierre Omer's Swing Band in the Salle de Fête.
