Voluntary restitution of two ancient cultural objects to Greece

In collaboration with the Archaeological Service of the Canton of Grisons, the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) returned two ancient cultural objects to the Greek embassy in Bern, their country of origin. This voluntary restitution is in accordance with the Federal Act on the International Transfer of Cultural Property and the UNESCO Convention, which protects cultural heritage from looting and illicit transfer. The FOC, as facilitator, is welcomes this initiative and thanks the parties involved for their collaboration.

Objects restituted: Fragment of an Ionic capital (Agora Corinth) and fragment of an inscription, 3rd or 2nd century BC (Kos)
