June Johnson Dance Prize
The June Johnson Dance Prize, which is presented to young dancers and innovative projects in association with the Stanley Thomas Johnson Foundation, goes to “Hyperion – Higher States Part 2” by Antibodies/Kiriakos Hadjiioannou.
Swiss Dance Awards presentation at the Equilibre in Fribourg on 12 October 2017
The Swiss Dance Awards will be presented for the third time at the Théâtre Equilibre in Fribourg on 12 October 2017. The winner of the Grand Award for Dance will be announced at the presentation ceremony.
Four awards in the Current Dance Works competition for the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons
The Federal Dance Jury has selected four outstanding works from 74 submissions in the Current Dance Works competition for the last two seasons: “inaudible” by ZOO/Thomas Hauert, “iFeel3” by *Melk Prod./Marco Berrettini, “Le Récital des Postures” by Yasmine Hugonnet and “Creature” by József Trefeli and Gábor Varga.
Outstanding female dancers: Tamara Bacci and Marthe Krummenacher
Marthe Krummenacher and Tamara Bacci each receive an Outstanding Female Dancer award from the FOC, honouring the work of two women with similar backgrounds and exceptional magnetism.
Special Dance Award 2017 goes to AIEP / Claudio Prati & Ariella Vidach
The FOC Special Dance Award 2017 goes to AIEP / Claudio Prati and Ariella Vidach from Ticino in recognition of their pioneering work with interactive technologies and their long-standing commitment to cultural policy in the region.

Noemi Lapzeson erhält den Schweizer Grand Prix Tanz 2017
Noemi Lapzeson, Choreographin, Tanzpädagogin und Gründerin der Compagnie Vertical Danse in Genf, erhält den diesjährigen Schweizer Grand Prix Tanz für ihre Pionierleistungen im zeitgenössischen Tanz. Bundesrat Alain Berset übergab die Auszeichnung im Theater Equilibre in Fribourg.
Update to the Dance it! app; Dance Awards on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
This year's winners have created new short videos for the Swiss Dance Awards Dance it! app. New hashtag #CHDanceAwards on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Impressions of the award ceremony on 12 October at the Théâtre Equilibre in Fribourg
As in 2013 and 2015, this year's award ceremony was held at the Théâtre Equilibre in Fribourg in the presence of Federal Councillor Alain Berset. For those who missed the event, impressions of the ceremony and information on all the award winners can be found on the Swiss Dance Awards website.

Swiss Grand Award for Dance 2017 goes to Noemi Lapzeson
Noemi Lapzeson - choreographer, dance teacher and founder of the Vertical Danse company in Geneva - receives this year's Grand Award for Dance in recognition of her pioneering achievements in contemporary dance.
Schweizer Tanzpreise vom 4. November bis 17. Dezember im Kunsthaus Zofingen
Im Rahmen der Ausstellung «Bodenlos III» sind im Kunsthaus Zofingen 3D-Fotografien des Künstlerduos Antonello&Montesi und 2D-Fotografien von Gregory Batardon der diesjährigen Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger sowie Videos aller bisherigen Ausgaben der Schweizer Tanzpreise zu sehen.

6 November submissions deadline for “Current Dance Works” and “Dance as Cultural Heritage”
Projects for Dance as Cultural Heritage and entries for Current Dance Works for the 2017/18 season can be submitted via the FOC's support platform until 6 November.
Swiss Dance Awards return to the Kunsthaus Zofingen from 4 November to 17 December
3D photographs by the artist duo Antonello&Montesi and 2D photographs by Gregory Batardon of this year's award winners as well as videos of all previous editions of the Swiss Dance Awards can be seen as part of the "Bodenlos III" exhibition at the Kunsthaus Zofingen.
New calls for submissions for “Current Dance Works” and “Dance as Cultural Heritage”

Swiss Dance Festival 5 to 7 May – with Gilles Jobin and the Swiss Dance Awards
The 12th Swiss Dance Festival will see the winners of the Swiss Dance Awards presented for the third time. Gilles Jobin, winner of the Grand Award for Dance 2015, will be represented in 10 cities with his new 3D film “Womb”.
Sigurd Leeder – Traces of Dance exhibition
A further Dance as Cultural Heritage project is being launched as part of “Zürich tanzt”. The exhibition “Sigurd Leeder. Traces of Dance” will be on show at the Museum of Design in the Toni-Areal from 5 May to 30 July 2017. The vernissage is on Thursday 4 May.
Save the date – Swiss Dance Awards on 12 October for the third time at the Equilibre in Fribourg
In 2017, for their third edition, the biennial Swiss Dance Awards will once again be presented at the Théâtre Equilibre in Fribourg. The award ceremony takes place on Thursday 12 October. As in 2015, the Swiss dance scene will be gathering during the day for the Dance Forum.
Publication on Theater HORA
In 2016 Theater HORA won the Swiss Grand Award for Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring. In addition to the prize money, the award includes a publication that professionals can order from the publishers, Peter Lang, at a special price of CHF 29.
Decisions on completed competitions and next calls for submissions in autumn 2017
Final decisions on the now closed Current Dance Works and June Johnson Dance Prize competitions will be taken in summer. Autumn sees the opening of the next Current Dance Works competition for the 2017/18 season and a new call for submissions for Dance as Cultural Heritage.
