The Davos Baukultur Alliance was launched at the initiative of Switzerland as a network for interdisciplinary dialogue at an international level. It strengthens cooperation between authorities, the construction and real estate sector, and civil society through ongoing exchange. The Alliance members commit to the Davos Declaration goals and act in accordance with the eight Davos Baukultur Quality System criteria.

The Alliance proposes to meet the global challenges of planning and construction through high-quality Baukultur. The aim is a sustainable and quality-oriented approach with buildings, infrastructure, public spaces and landscapes that benefit everyone.

Working groups within the Alliance address such themes as circular economy, high-quality energy-efficient renovations or a certification system, and jointly develop proposals for how to proceed. Its secretariat is managed by the World Economic Forum and acts as an interface to the private sector.
