Tamara Bacci was born in Geneva in 1970. She is a multifaceted, charismatic performer who started out with the Ballet Junior de Genève, has danced with major international companies, and continues to work in the independent scene. Much more than a dancer of choreographies, she is a creative artist who encourages us to reflect on the nature of dance itself. Marthe Krummenacher was born in Southfield, Michigan in 1981 and is also a graduate of the École de Danse and the Ballet Junior in Geneva. She danced with Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and was a member of the Forsythe Company before returning to Geneva in 2007 as a freelancer, bringing both enthusiastic commitment and an astutely critical eye to the city's dance scene. The award winners each receive CHF 25,000.
