This year’s Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis has been won by the duo Les Diptik. Also nominated were Simon Chen and Karim Slama. Since the award gala and Swiss artists’ fair were cancelled owing to the corona pandemic, the award will be handed over along with all the other Theatre Awards at a small-scale event in November.

This year’s Schweizer Kleinkunstpreis has been won by Les Diptik, a highly promising and practised duo who, in their two evening productions to date, have combined clown play with exciting dramaturgy. Les Diptik are Céline Rey, who was born in Fribourg in 1986 and grew up in the city, and David Melendy, who was born in California in 1990 and grew up there. The pair met at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri. Also nominated were the versatile humourist Karim Slama and precise wordsmith Simon Chen.
