This year’s Swiss Grand Award for the Performing Arts / Hans Reinhart Ring goes to the theatre and stage director Barbara Frey. She directs productions on prestigious German-speaking stages and is also regarded as an astute institutional head.
Further Swiss Performing Arts Awards go to Frida León Beraud, Marco Berrettini, Sophie Gardaz, Geschwister Pfister, Paola Gianoli, Yann Marussich, Mike Müller, Susanne Schneider/BewegGrund, and Ticino is Burning.
Awards go the dance production “La Peau de l’Espace” by Yasmine Hugonnet and the theatre production “Manuel d’exil” by Maya Bösch and her company sturmfrei. The June Johnson Newcomer Prize goes to the collective InQdrt.
The Swiss Performing Arts Awards will be presented on 21 October at the newly built Théâtre de Carouge. The event will be streamed live on various websites and then made available as video on demand.

Manuel Stahlberger and the duo fleischlin/meser will be appearing at the opening of the Swiss Artists’ Fair on 20 April 2022. They received Swiss Performing Arts Awards in autumn 2021.
Winners in the dance category of the Swiss Performing Arts Awards will be showing their work around Switzerland at Tanzfest. They include the Ballet Junior, the Groove’N’Move festival, Jasmine Morand, Mirjam Gurtner and 2019 Dance Awards winners Marie-Caroline Hominal, Edouard Hue, Cie Greffe/Cindy van Acker, and Cie Linga.
The Swiss Theatre Encounter will feature Martin Zimmermann, winner of the Swiss Grand Award for the Performing Arts / Hans Reinhart Ring 2021, along with Mathieu Bertholet, Béatrice Fleischlin and Nicole Seiler.

The book “50 starry years”, marking five decades of the Prix de Lausanne, was entered in the Performing Arts Heritage competition and has received support from the FOC.
